　　35.He got up early in order that/so that he could catch the first bus 。

　　He closed all the windows while driving so that he shouldn't catch cold。

　　開(kāi)車(chē)時(shí)他關(guān)上所有的窗戶以免感冒。(so that否定句要用shouldn't)

　　So that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句

　　對(duì)比：1、He set off early ,so that he caught the first bus 。

　　他很早出發(fā)，結(jié)果趕上了頭班車(chē)。

　　2、He set off early so that he could catch the first bus。

　　為了趕上頭班車(chē)，他很早就出發(fā)了。

　　So as to /in order to /to為了，作目的狀語(yǔ)

　　36.He went home to see his mother。

　　37.He shouted and waved so as to be noticed。

　　38.John hurried so as not to be late for the party。

　　39.Modern equipment is fitted in our classroom for all the students to study well。

　　40.The letter was read out for all in the court to hear。

　　注意：to do/ in order to do可以放在句首，so as to不可以放在句首。

　　41.To sleep late in the morning ,Bob turned off the alarm。

　　(注意：只有不定式to do/in order to/so as to do可以作為目的狀語(yǔ))

　　對(duì)比：現(xiàn)在分詞表示主句動(dòng)作所造成的結(jié)果：

　　To do作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)：(表示不愉快或意外結(jié)果)

　　他聾得聽(tīng)不見(jiàn)。

　　她出國(guó)了，結(jié)果再也沒(méi)有回來(lái)。

　　So +adj./adv.+as to如此……以至于……，作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)：

　　54.He was so foolish as to believe such a man 。

　　他如此愚蠢以至于相信了這樣一個(gè)人。

　　Such…as to如此……以至于……作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)：

　　別憂心忡忡，我的病不至于那么嚴(yán)重。

　　56.He is such a fool as to think that he is somebody and can influence others。

　　…enough to…作結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)，足夠……可以……
